Artist's statement

It's not necessarily easy to provide a convincing artist's statement, except for the fact that my imagery enables me to share what appears to me to be meaningful, in a personal, emotional, and fundamental way.
I am attracted to the character, heart and soul of a place. More importantly I'm interested in what makes a place and it's inhabitants combine and how they interact with their surroundings. Interest is everywhere we look; we all stop and notice things, although we simply can't observe everything. Some places are given meaning by the architecture within a place and others by the interaction of a being within the atmosphere of a place. Some places are powerful and full of emotion, whereas others merely provide a space for our emotions to manifest and grow within them.
Photography can record the reaction and interaction of people, places and things frozen and then preserved forever in such a minute space of time.
